Hello to the minds.
I bought my first truck; a 2014 Silverado Rally Edition 5.3L LT. And now I realize how much fun it is to put new and wonderful accessories on it.
I'm looking at installing a T-Rex grill on my Chev. The item I was leaning towards can be seen here:
http://trexbillet.com/cart/index.php?ma ... ts_id=1886
On their site the applications say:
"2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - Torch Series LED Light Grille, 4 - 6" LED Bar, Formed Mesh Grille, Main, Replacement, 2 Pc's, Black Powdercoated Mild Steel (Does not fit Z71 or models or Work Trucks with all black factory grille) (For off-road use only)"
I was wondering what the difference between the Work Truck Grills (One piece I assume?), Z71 grill and LT/LTZ grills. And the more important question is, is the Rally Edition grill any different? My salesman more or less described it as a different Z71 edition.
So any thoughts? Think it will work? And has anyone installed these and how was the wiring?
Thanks all.

The difference is in the insert in the grille. The LT and W/T are similar, but the LT is chrome, where the W/T is all black. The Z71 grille has a different insert then the LT and W/T.
W/T
LT
The LTZ is similar to this as well…
Z71
High Country
I would think they are all built the same way, with the insert being glued to the shell, but there must be a reason why they say it won't fit… I'd contact them and ask why…

I've seen some pictures where the honeycomb inserts can be removed. Does anyone else have the Rally and have tried to remove it? Does the work truck have a one piece grill?
Hopefully its the same. I think I'm going to order the grill. Hope it works *fingers crossed*
